Shop work in the rain

It has been raining all week.  Fortunately with the new shop we can actually (gasp) fabricate even when it is raining, unlike before just the tiny shack we had to work in.

I also had to buy the boys work uniforms cause I am tired of seein them come to work looking like homeless people.

However this is at least the third round of buying uniforms and work clothes over the years.  Previous times I took them to the cheap clothes store, they did not wear the clothes because they said "Oh it is too nice to wear to work"

This time around I saw seamans work uniforms for sale.  I bought from 2 different vendors online to see the quality and fit and ended up buying the lower cost vendor as the material was heavier and better made.  At 9 bucks for a combo pants and jacket, the price is a steal.

Unfortunately there is none available for big white guy size.

Office is done, fisheye view.  Excuse the messy desk.  I had deliveries of materials coming in all day.

Feminists answer to Rape

Saw some feminist justify abortion, saying if she was raped and got pregnant, she should murder the child.

Although generally most abortions result from recreational sex or eugenics

The container office is (mostly) insulated

The roof remains to be done, but everything inside is covered, door hung, window installed, wiring and I am back to work.

The AC now cools the room, and the peace and quiet from the sound deadening, is...  Wonderful.  This is the first time in years I have a office that I am not constantly hearing the sound of traffic, noisy neighbors or my own equipment.

Which is in the nick of time cause the boys have orders to assemble.

Currently getting hit by the edge of typhoon here.  The monsoon is being pulled overhead.  It alternates from blue skky to a few min later completely overcast and rain, and then blue sky 20 min later.  Half my driveway is washed out down to the chunks of concrete below it.  I will have to have the boys mix some concrete, put it in sandbags, drop it in the holes and tamp it down.  Hoping it will cure before the next rainstorm.

Also next up is solar for the shop.  Got my first bill for the new place and it came out to around 130usd.  It will be 3x that when I am running bigger orders.  Power rates have gone from 10 to 16 per kwh in the last 4 years.

re comments and a DI video

The device you are talking about is a bridge breaker, exactly what I was talking about.  They stop rat holing and bridging of material flows.  My material is too soft for a stir bar to.work well. God knows how much i tried over the years.

This DI video popped up in my feed of a very small Marine Drill instructor and someone called him.a dyke etc.

I know exactly what I am.seeing here.  It is male marine in a Male uniform.

The reason his voice sounds like that is likely vocal strain or vocal cord injury.  My drill instructors had that happen often.
