The cargo container office 2 month report

I screwed 2x2 inch square tubing lengthwise on the walls of the conatiner using tek screws thru the container walls.

I then used the used foam packaging to fill in the space, and held it in place with packing tape until the half inch plastic sheets were screwed over top using tek screws.

Two sides installed in a day.  It was a new task so the boys did nto get fast until day 2.

Day 2 we only did one side.  However it also included the wiring, AC, and lights.

Day 3 they built a bulkhead frame on the inside of the cargo door and built a wall using 16mm thick sheets and insulated.  We also unstalled a non opening glass window.  We made the door ourselves.

The door has a auto closing spring so it stays closed.

Flooring got a coat of cheap plastic varnish.  However it needs a recoat.  Looks good but it was scratched up from moving furniture around.  We take our shoes off at the door so as to save on tracking dirt around.

Despite the roof not insulated, the half hp window AC unit is capable of keeping it cool and comfortable.  The roof has a sun shade net and the walls outside have sun shade nets.  Which both shade the walls and function as camo from the road.  It does not look like much from the gate.

When the cargo doors are closed it just looks like a cargo container.  However one corner support has sunk a little twisting the box slightly making the cargo door hard to close.  When the rain stops I will have the boys jack up that corner to re-level the box.

The AC runs whenever it is being used, however when it is cool, the fan only runs bringing in fresh air.  No weird smells and the panels no longer off gas with that new car smell.

It is not soundproof, I can hear the miter saw running, faintly, but I no longer hear traffic noise unlike the old shop that drove me to madness.

Overall I am very pleased with the results.  even during the most heavy wind and rain, I can barely hear any effect while inside.  I daresay if it was in a non flood prone area, and anchored down, I would not hesitate to ride out a cat 5 typhoon in it.
