Carbon Fiber 3D Printing

Got some carbon fiber filament in. This is my first try using the stuff.  I swapped out the old roll, put in the CF, and started printing using the same settings in PLA as the previous one.

20mm test cube came out good.

Flat surface finish, looks nice and professional.

CAD designing some cable carriers and printing them this afternoon.

Protopasta has come out with a high temperature PLA carbaon fiber awhile back.  The promise is that it is annealed by putting in a oven for a hour to set it.

Turns out that a youtube channel guy got the same results from regular PLA after he baked it.

Not sure on the extra strength but the warping looks less and that is why I bought it.

Going to do any comparison testing on strength, warpage, etc?

Sounds cool, but this is the Intertoobs. Without pictures, it didn't happen.
