Bitcoin price slide?

I have been watching my Bitcoin Dark Market Credit price chart decrease over the last few days.

While the price has gone down for now.  The volume traded still looks good.

In my opinion volume traded is a indication that the market still is healthy in regards to public interest in the unit.

I do not think that at present Bitcoin is a viable long term or even short term storage (over a period of months) store of value, but as a medium to exchange goods, it is the best we have for now that s outside the total control of the bankster collectivist realm.

In the future it may become a more viable medium as a long term storage of value, but time will tell.

Too many variables unknown at this time to make a accurate prediction.

Some variables that can not be quantified are:

1 Government/Bank attacks on the markets
2  New methods of computing block chains for mining
3 Public perception
4 Gov attacks via regulatory structure.

Chart below via www.bitcoincharts.com

I do suspect that a majority of the trade involves drugs and gambling at the present time.  However the trend with disruptive tech has been that the early adopters are those on the err.. Grey side of things...

That does not mean that the means and methods of Bitcoin are flawed.  A blanket condemnation of Bitcoin is foolish and intellectually dishonest based on who uses it.  It is just a tool.

Just as hammers are used as murder weapons and for building; Hammers in themselves are not bad nor good. They just are.  Just as the existence of Bitcoin.

I do see a possible large jump in Bitcoin interest as the USD/Euro/Yuan go thru their death throes.

Bitcoin is one of those necessary things that will enable trade via the Internet, as it is impossible at present to make a purchase of something via the Internet without using a proxy for exchange.

Food for thought

“There is no man, let him be aware of it or not, who is not a combatant in this hot contest; no one who does not take an active part in the responsibility of the defeat or victory. The prisoner in his chains and the king on his throne, the poor and the rich, the healthy and the infirm, the wise and the ignorant, the captive and the free, the old man and the child, the civilized and the savage, share equally in the combat. Every word that is pronounced, is either inspired by God or by the world, and necessarily proclaims, implicitly or explicitly, but always clearly, the glory of the one or the triumph of the other. In this singular warfare we all fight through forced enlistment; here the system of substitutes or volunteers finds no place. In it is unknown the exception of sex or age; here no attention is paid to him who says, I am the son of a poor widow; nor to the mother of the paralytic, nor to the wife of the cripple. In this warfare all men born of woman are soldiers.

And don’t tell me you don’t wish to fight; for the moment you tell me that, you are already fighting; nor that you don’t know which side to join, for while you are saying that, you have already joined a side; nor that you wish to remain neutral; for while you are thinking to be so, you are so no longer; nor that you want to be indifferent; for I will laugh at you, because on pronouncing that word you have chosen your party. Don’t tire yourself in seeking a place of security against the chances of war, for you tire yourself in vain; that war is extended as far as space, and prolonged through all time. In eternity alone, the country of the just, can you find rest, because there alone there is no combat. But do not imagine, however, that the gates of eternity shall be opened for you, unless you first show the wounds you bear; those gates are only opened for those who gloriously fought here the battles of the Lord, and were, like the Lord, crucified.”  —Juan Donoso Cortes

In other words not to act is to act.

The military saints or warrior saints (also called soldier saints) of the Early Christian Church are prominent in thehistory of Christianity. The persecution of Christians underDiocletian or other Roman Emperors usually furnished the background for soldier-saint hagiography which has a common theme: a soldier of the Empire who has become a Christian finds that his devotion conflicts with traditional religious practices of the Roman military. Refusing to participate in rituals of loyalty to the Emperor (see Imperial cult), he is subjected to corporal punishment that escalates to torture—which miraculously may not affect him—but he does not deny his faithand is martyred. Such a saint was an "athlete of Christ" or"champion of Christ" (athleta Christi).

New Soviet Amerikan Man

The new Амеяιkа... Same Sоviет crap recycled to dumbasses uneducated in history.

From Wikipedia:

New Soviet man

The New Soviet man or New Soviet person (Russianновый советский человек novy sovetsky chelovek), as postulated by the ideologists of theCommunist Party of the Soviet Union, was an archetype of a person with certain qualities that were said to be emerging as dominant among all citizens of the Soviet Union, irrespective of the country's cultural, ethnic, and linguistic diversity, creating a single Soviet people, Soviet nation.

Intent

From the early times, ideologists of Communism have postulated that within the new society of pure communism and the social conditions therein, a New Man and New Woman would develop with qualities reflecting surrounding circumstances of post-scarcity and unprecedented scientific development.  For example, Leon Trotsky wrote in Literature and Revolution about the "Communist man", "man of the future":
Man will make it his purpose to master his own feelings, to raise his instincts to the heights of consciousness, to make them transparent, to extend the wires of his will into hidden recesses, and thereby to raise himself to a new plane, to create a higher social biologic type, or, if you please, a superman.
As Wilhelm Reich wrote: "Will the new socio-economic system reproduce itself in the structure of the people's character? If so, how? Will his traits be inherited by his children? Will he be a free, self-regulating personality? Will the elements of freedom incorporated into the structure of the personality make any authoritarian forms of government unnecessary?"
Author and philosopher Bernard Byhovsky, Ph.D. writes: "The new man is endowed, first of all, with a new ethical outlook."
The three major changes postulated to be indispensable for the building of the communist society were economical and political changes, accompanied with the changes in the human personality.

The New Man

The Soviet man was to be selfless, learned, healthy and enthusiastic in spreading the socialist Revolution. Adherence to Marxism-Leninism, and individual behavior consistent with that philosophy's prescriptions, were among the crucial traits expected of the New Soviet man. This required intellectualism and hard discipline. He was not driven by crude impulses of nature but by conscious self-mastery – a belief that required the rejection of both innate personality and the unconscious, which Soviet psychologists did therefore reject.
He treated public property with respect, as if it were his own. He also has lost any nationalist sentiments, being Soviet rather than Russian, or Ukrainian, or any of the many other nationalities found in the USSR.
His work required exertion and austerity, to show the new man triumphing over his base instincts. Alexey Stakhanov's record-breaking day in mining coal caused him to be set forth as the exemplar of the "new man" and the members of Stakhanovite movements tried to become Stakhanovites.
This could also be a new woman; Pravdadescribed the Soviet woman as someone who had and could never have existed before.  Female Stakhanovites were rarer than male, but a quarter of all trade-union women were designated as "norm-breaking."  For the Paris World Fair, Vera Mukhina depicted a momentual sculpture, Worker and Kolkhoz Woman, dressed in work clothing, pressing forward with his hammer and her sickle crossed.
Aleksandr Zinovyev put forth the satiric argument that a new kind of person was indeed created by the Soviet system, but held that this new man - which they call Homo Sovieticus - was in many ways the opposite of the ideal of the New Soviet man.

Selflessness

Among the major traits of a new Soviet man was selfless collectivism. The selfless new man was willing to sacrifice his life for good causes.
This trait was glorified from the first Soviet days, as exemplified by lines from the poem Vladimir Ilyich Lenin by the Soviet poet Vladimir Mayakovsky:
Who needs a "1"?
The voice of a "1"
is thinner than a squeak.
Who will hear it?
Only the wife...
A "1" is nonsense.
A "1" is zero.
Fictional characters and presentations of contemporary celebrities embodying this model were prominent features of Soviet cultural life, especially at times when fostering the concept of the New Soviet man was given special priority by the government.
Pro-natalist policies encouraging women to have many children were justified by the selfishness inherent in limiting the next generation of "new men."

Credit Scores Are a Uniquely American Obsession

Credit score obsession is a uniquely American obsession.

Where else in the world do you see people lining up to be slaves to the banks like this?

The Madison Avenue propaganda extolling the bullshit that you can live beyond your means.

You are not your house, you are not your car.

Stop acting Ike a wimp.

Man up.

Look at this photo of a sleaze bag.  All happy, smiling, and he is just some model cause real bankers are not this damn handsome.

They are for 3D printing now, but they will soon be against it

Why?

Read this commentary by Josh Barro at the New York Times, as he instructs us to view stay-at-home parents as tax cheats, because the work they do for themselves doesn’t involve the sort of financial transaction the State can take a piece of:

----------------

President Obama’s proposal to expand a tax break for working parents with children under 5 has some conservatives criticizing it for discriminating against stay-at-home parents.

Those parents wouldn’t be able to take the proposed tax credit equal to 50 percent of child care expenses, up to a maximum of $3,000 per child. What the critics fail to see is that the playing field wasn’t level to begin with. The tax code is already hugely distorted in favor of stay-at-home parenting: Labor outside the home is taxed; household work, such as stay-at-home parenting, is not.

I realize that sounds like a bizarre thing to say. Why would there be a tax on parenting, and why would the lack of such a tax constitute a tax preference? But productive activities within the home are not especially different from the taxable work we do outside the home. We labor, and instead of receiving a cash wage, we receive something else we value: a clean house or a mowed lawn or a well-behaved child. In 1973, the economist John Kendrick estimated that unmeasured and untaxed household activities like child rearing amounted to about a quarter of the size of the whole economy as measured by gross national product.

When we hire people to come into our homes to do these things, the labor is counted as part of the economy and subject to tax. If I pay you to watch my child and you pay me to watch your child, we both owe income tax. If you and I each watch our own children, the I.R.S. collects nothing — even though we have done substantially the same work for the same benefit. This tax preference for housework over paid work creates a significant distortion: Some people (mostly women) choose to stay home when, absent tax considerations, they might work outside the home instead.

-----------------------

The above commentary is from the central thought publisher of the establishment.

Now consider this, 3D printing will revolutionize how you make, use and buy stuff.  It eliminates the middleman that can be taxed.

Right now the establishment is promoting 3D printing, but only until they realize what it really means.

Now read this:

Do you see the trend line yet?

Method of organizing your Intel data.

One overlooked tool that I have not seen much about in the iii% press is the use of a Wiki.

A wiki is not only a method of organizing your data, but a means to find connections now and in the future.

How does this work?

When you enter the information, you may decide for example to put in an address, organization or known associate.  However that known associate or location does not have a page yet for it.

This is no problem.

You put the link in anyways and later on, that name, location etc is added in, and there are other references to that location, you can easily pull up a list of people or events, or things associated with it.

For example.

John Doe is a blue purple people eater and has been arrested for assaulting a minister.

A entry is made for John Doe and lets say he is from Dubuque Iowa.

You also discover that John Doe is into something innocuous like underwater basket weaving.  But underwater basket weaving clubs are also magnets for purple people eaters whom it may never be documented otherwise.

So later, Jane Qwerty is arrested for making a terrorist threat. Jane is a fan of underwater basket weaving classes in Cedar Rapids Iowa, and is a known purple people eater

Janes data is entered in.

The wiki will automatically make that link between Jane and John.

Now you know that both are from Iowa, both are purple people eaters and both are fans of underwater basket weaving.

Other connections may show up in that both attended a conference on cooking purple people and that Waldo Wallbanger was the organizer.  Now you know there is a connection between Waldo, Jane and John.

For example you want a list of all the advocates for illegal animal cruelty from East Jesus Maine.

You ave already listed every known illegal animal cruelty advocate in the New England

Clicking on the East Jesus link will display all East Jesus advocates.  Clicking on the Maine link will display all the Maine advocates, and clicking on just the advocate link will show all the advocates.

Now for a real world example:

www.keywiki.org is the perfect example as to the formatting and method of mapping out a movement or group.

We have this weeks featured commie Mona Field.  Mona has spoken at the West Coast Scholars conference.

We have a list of published attendees and this guy was also a speaker.

So we know that Rudy and Mona have met at least once.

But look at the organization links.  Blue has a entry, red has no entry but a search will call up all instances of the red links.

Documentation should be in a neutral tone.  Facts only.  Leave analysis out of it for now.

Screen shots should be taken of the reference pages and or relevant pages should be downloaded as complete HTML files, zipped and placed on the server with a link from the wiki page so it stays organized.

One can even find group photos of events, use photoshop to isolate each persons photo, remove the background to facilitate image facial recognition once that tech becomes more available.

Here is a link on how to set one up

http://lifehacker.com/163707/geek-to-live--set-up-your-personal-wikipedia

This is how the USGOV hunts.

I might add that this method will also work in other things, from animal taxonomy, marketing campaigns, political campaigns, to organizing your business store of knowledge.

Let's say that your company has a big project.  You can use the same method to store information and discover information that would have otherwise been overlooked.

It is like exporting your brain and storing it in a more efficient method of recall.

DIY Bulletproof glass

I use this stuff around the shop for encapsulating various electronic boards.

While researching this, I found that there is another use for this stuff.  Turns out that craft people are using 2 part epoxy along with glass and chicken wire to make the old fashioned style of reinforced glass.

Basically you only need a few things to roll your own bulletproof glass. Or rather bullet resistant glass.  Nothing is ever bullet proof.

1 clear epoxy
2 glass, tempered glass preferred but it has to be special ordered
3 vacuum pump (like in a food saver with the food saver jar)
4 chicken wire (optional)

First thing you need to clean the glass thoroughly.  Do not use Windex.  Rubbing alcohol and a lint free rag or tissue is best.  Wear clean gloves.  Like those cheap ones with the rubber dots stuck to them.

You don't want fingerprints inside your windows do you?

Windex has a surfactant and can potentially cause issues with adhesion so you don't want that.

Prepare your work space. This will get messy.  Newspapers are preferred underneath.

You need several small stands to put the glass on.  Some small blocks of 2x4 the same size will work.

Place first sheet of glass down on the blocks.  Do not put the blocks at the edges of the glass, place them a couple inches in from the edge.  You will see why when you apply the resin.

Mix your epoxy in a clean small bowl or jar.  My fiberglass girl uses those silicone rubber bowls for epoxy sold at dental supply places.

This bowl or jar needs to be small enough to fit in the food saver jar.  You don't want to ruin the food saver jar so you got a bowl inside it.

Next is to use the vacuum to remove the air bubbles from the liquid.  You will have to do several cycles to remove all the bubbles.

Pour the epoxy on the glass gently and avoid getting air bubbles

Place second layer of glass or chicken wire and then glass.  Repeat as many times as you need to.

The epoxy will ooze out and some will run to the under side of the glass.

This is why you want the blocks not at the edge.  Once the epoxy starts to cure this will be trimed away with a sharp blade.

For experimentation, you can try using polycarbonate, acrylic sheet, and window tint in the sandwich.

You can even add in printing inside the sandwich like a sign or label.

This particular resin above has more elasticity than fiberglass resin btw.  Greater resistance against cracking.

While this is not quite the same stuff as the store bought brands (with the except of using the EVA film in the link above) It is much more economical for home use.

One good use for it is in hurricane areas.

Some info I have come across says that the wire in the glass is supposed to increase fire resistance.

Another method and this is more of a translucent than clear glass is to fill glass building blocks like those wall blocks with clear fiberglass resin.  It is kind of expensive but it will let in light and will increase the strength dramatically.

If you try the EVA film I would be curious to see the results.  I can make the appropriate heaters to laminate the glass fairly easily.  The hardest part with the glass is not heating or cooling it too fast.

I regularly heat ordinary glass to high temps with a fairly slow heat time with the printer bed.  I would be interested to try this...

Armor plate coating and prices review

Looks like they were having issues with the bed liner sticking without a primer.

My guess it is either a epoxy primer or a primer designed for urethane paint.  Personally, I would have just used parkerizing or a textured matte black powder coat.

From their site:

LEVEL III SPARTAN ARMOR - COATED AR500 BODY ARMOR

The Target Man, LLC has spent countless hours and research on developing effective fragmentation/spall protection for our AR500 Spartan Armor steel trauma plates. We have tested various types of bedliners, kevlar sleeves, and plastic coatings and have found our best fit. We are pleased to now be offering Rhino Lined coated plates. The Rhino coating, combined with our non-traditional primer (standard primers don’t work well), has proven extremely effective in containing the fragmentation and spalling during our testing. Click on your desired configuration of our formed plates below to view our demonstration videos. We’ll let the videos speak for themselves.

-----------------------------------------

The price seems like a ok deal for plates.  I pay over $1000 a sheet for Austrian armor sheet in 6.2mm thickness.

The hardest part is the forming of it.  It is some springy stuff that needs either the temper removed, then bent and re-tempered, or some serious over bending cause when you bend steel (or most any other metal) and you want a certain angle you have to bend it past the actual angle you want, then the metal springs back to the desired angle.

Water jet cutting is pretty standard stuff to cut it. Water jet cutting is expensive though cause those machines are finicky, and require lots of care to operate and maintain.

From a maker point of view, if I'm offering a great price (and this looks like this guy is offering a great price) if someone asked for additional discount, I would get kind of insulted.
